Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits is the first greatest hits album by pop singer Christina Aguilera. The compilation contains the biggest hits from all of the singer's studio albums released to date: Christina Aguilera (1999), Mi Reflejo (2000), Stripped (2002) and Back to Basics (2006), as well as two new tracks and two re-made tracks. The album was released on November 7, 2008 in Europe, and on November 11, 2008 in the United States, exclusively in Target stores. The album will be released worldwide throughout November 2008. This album will have a deluxe edition that includes of DVD with 10 music videos and a different cover. The album sold +260,000 copies in its first week worldwide

Freedom is the third studio album by singer, Akon. The album was originally named Acquitted. It is set to be released on December 2, 2008. Production on the album began in late 2007 and ended in the late summer of this year. Originally the album was to be called Acquitted, but was later confirmed to be Freedom by Akon's label, Universal Music. In July, a leaked recording of Akon's duet with Michael Jackson titled "Hold My Hand" was released to the internet and at first showings of the song was supposedly taken out by Akon's music label. The song was originally posted as an Akon demo with only Akon performing the song. The leaked song was rumored to be featured on both his and Michael's own upcoming album. In an interview with MTV, Akon was hopeful to include the song on the album. However, on October 17, Akon's label released information on the tracklisting and the album does not feature the duet with Jackson

Circus is the sixth studio album from American pop singer Britney Spears. The album was announced by Jive Records on September 15, 2008, and is set for release in the United States on December 2, 2008, which is Spears's 27th birthday. In the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia it will be released prior to that date. The first single, "Womanizer", became Spears's first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 since her debut "...Baby One More Time", almost 10 years prior. I Am… Sasha Fierce is the third solo studio album by American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles, to be released from November 12, 2008 in JapanThe songs "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" were initially targeted to radio on October 7, 2008; however, they were premiered on the following day on selected radio stations in the United States. On the same day, a video was released by Knowles' record label Columbia, featuring footage on the making of the music videos to "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", and the photo shoot for the two songs and the album. A deluxe edition of the album, which contains bonus tracks, will be released simultaneously with the standard version. A listening party for the album was held by Knowles' father-manager, Mathew Knowles, in New York on October 22, 2008. Prior to the album's earliest release date, the entire album was premiered on November 11, 2008 on Knowles' MySpace account. To correspond with the double album release, Columbia Records produced a website for Sasha Fierce. It asks to call and try to describe Sasha. It also states her "true identity" will be released at a later date.
